It is understood that by attending our classes you continue to agree and adhere to these (and any updated) terms and conditions, as well as our general policies and procedures and those related to covid-19 which can be found on our website here (bottom of the welcome page).
Please ensure the enrolment form is completed at the time of registration.
Trials:
Up to 2 trial classes may be taken at the standalone rate of €15 per class. Due to the nature of the class only 1 trial on the first class of term is possible for Musical Theatre.
Trial fees (new pupils only) must be paid prior to the trial/taster session and secure your space for the booked session only.
Trial fees for trial/taster sessions are not refundable but may be carried over to another session if available (up to 1 postponement only).
Please ensure the enrolment form is completed in full as EDA, Wien must have sufficient contact and identification information to ensure the safety of the pupil in class.
Enrolment
Should you choose not to continue after your trial the enrolment form will be destroyed/deleted and all information removed in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
Should you choose to enrol the pupil will be entered into our database and an invoice for the remaining term fees issued. Spaces are not secured until payment has been received.
Payment of Term Fees:
All payments must be made to the account as detailed on the invoice. We do not accept cash payments. Exceptions may be made for uniform items we have in stock or stand alone trials.
Full payment of the term fee must be made prior to the invoice deadline date. If you change your mind after the invoice has been issued you must inform us by the invoice deadline or the fee will be due regardless .
The full fee is due regardless of attendance and refunds will not be issued for classes missed by the pupil or where classes are cancelled due to force majeure or reasons beyond our control (eg adverse weather conditions). *Make up sessions will be offered in equivalent classes where available at the discretion of the Principal but are not guaranteed.
Classes cancelled or unable to run directly/indirectly due to covid-19 will transfer to online classes following, where possible, the usual timetable.
Classes cancelled by the EDA for any other reason will be made up where possible, otherwise sessions will be credited in the next term/course.
For Mini Bear (parent-assisted) and adult classes only we also offer the option to purchase the EDA 10 block-card allowing you to ‘pay as you go’. Please ensure you select the relevant payment option on the enrolment form (if applicable).
Medical/Important Information:
Please inform us in writing with full details of any medical condition, injury, allergy or any other issue we should be aware of. Please note; The EDA and (where applicable) commonroom team members are not permitted to administer any medication.
Teachers have knowledge of and will administer basic first aid where necessary. Please note, teachers are not obliged to provide first aid should they feel uncomfortable or in doing so would pose a threat to themselves, the injured party or any others in the vicinity.
Please ensure we have up to date emergency contacts and social security numbers where applicable incase of emergency.
Parent-Assisted Classes:
In the parent-assisted classes children remain the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult. We kindly ask that a maximum of 1 adult accompany each child where possible. Parents taking part should also inform us of any injuries or conditions we should be aware of.
Independent Classes:
During the independent classes parents are asked to remain outside of the studio area. Where possible, this also includes the trial class.
For the independent classes please ensure pupils are collected at the end of the class by a parent/guardian. Please notify the teacher at the start of the class (or via email if this is a pre-arranged collection) if someone else will be collecting your child. The EDA and commonroom are only responsible for your child during the class time and whilst in the studio.
Uniform/Footwear:
Children and parents must wear appropriate shoes and clothing for dance. For safety reasons we reserve the right to ask you to remove any item deemed inappropriate.
For all Ballet classes pupils should have hair pulled back off the face, with long hair preferably styled in a bun (girls).
Most of our independent classes have a set uniform. Pupils are expected to be dressed correctly after their first half-term (6 weeks) of classes. All uniform should be purchased through EDA. Ballet shoes may be purchased elsewhere but must be full-sole, leather in Pink (girls) or Black (boys).
Jewellery (particularly anything that can catch easily on clothes such as hanging earrings) should not be worn by pupils during dance classes and will be strictly prohibited for any performance or exam.
It is essential children are dressed correctly for dance, particularly with correct footwear. Not only to encourage team work but also to ensure pupils’ comfort and safe development (especially growing toes and feet) during dance.
Dance shoes should not be worn outside. Outside shoes should not be worn in the studio.
Drop-Off/Collection and Venue Rules:
Please ensure pupils are dropped off promptly. Missing the beginning of class not only disrupts the session but can cause injury if the child is not warmed up properly.
Please adhere to the collection times as often other classes are taking place after yours. If you are late to collect children will be kept in the studio with the teacher, please knock on the studio door but do not enter without invitation.
Adhere to all current covid procedures for drop off and collection and any venue rules. A reminder that use of the commoncafe is for paying customers only and is not to be used as a changing or waiting area for pupil and parents.
Please respect the neighbours at all times and leave everything as you find it.
EDA Studio: Nothing is allowed to be left at the bottom of the stairwell as this effects the chairlift. Please do not touch the chairlift. Inform us immediately if there is any issue with the main door. Pushchairs/scooters may be left in the EDA part of the corridor.
commonroom/commoncafe: Pushchairs should not be brought into the studio. Scooters etc may be brought in and left in the commonroom corridor. It is possible to use the cafe for drop-off and collection but should not be used as a changing area or waiting room unless you plan to stay as a paying customer.
